Known as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Washington DC for its modern Spanish cuisine, Xiquet has held a MICHELIN Star since 2021 and earned MICHELIN’s Sommelier of the Year Award in 2022. In the same year, AAA honored Xiquet with the travel authority’s highest rating, making it the only Five Diamond restaurant currently in the city. Very nice concept with great service. The food, however, had several inconsistencies with lack of flavor, lack of seasoning, and watery sauces throughout several dishes which fell short of expectation.

Chef Danny & his team were so friendly & hospitable yet professional. It was as though we were the only guests in the room! The food was so inventive & beautiful & delicious. Wonderful evening! Highly recommend!

This last meal was quite possibly the best I have experienced at Xiquet yet. Our table loved the perfectly cooked partridge and amazing sauce on the sea bass. The festive decorations, kind staff and Spanish kings cake for dessert made for a cozy holiday evening. We are already looking forward to more celebrations at Xiquet next year.

The tasting menu is incredible from beginning to end. Perfectly prepared and great flavor in every dish. The paella and partridge were my favorite. My wife loved the sea bass and the desserts. It can’t be beat!

An absolute pleasure to dine here. The attention to detail, the note cards (you’ll have to see what this means) and the staff is wonderful. The food was fantastic enough, but our server really completed the evening. Michael was a total delight and we would come back just to dine with him again!

Food was terrible for the price we paid, service was great on the other hand. For a michelin star restaurant the decor and ambience was worse than my apartment.

Enjoyed the Iberico, it an absolute gem and rare treat The wine pairings were thoughtful and world class paired, I can absolutely see why they have the sommelier award from Michelin. Mezzanine service at the end was a pleasant surprise, good place to do business or have a romantic evening. Plenty of after dinner options for port and madeira. Thank you again for the hospitality Chef and team.

This was phenomenal, my wife and I had to stay in town for thanksgiving and needed a pick me up the day before. This did not disappoint, reminded me of eating my Spanish grandmothers food. Paella was phenomenal, I am so glad we opted for the Premium Prawn Rice, it was very umami and so authentic. It was an absolutely beautiful experience, the food was delicious and beautiful, very thoughtful portions, we left full but not overly stuffed. The staff was polite, professional and funny. We will absolutely return and strongly recommend.
