Beautifully renovated, historic space, excellent quality local beer, happy crowd (no kidding --it's popular for a reason) among the best food I've ever had. I cook, myself, and I thought I was pretty good. The food here is just on a performance level. People are sometimes too quick to use the word "amazing." Wye Oak really is. I had fish and sweet potatoes; wife had steak. We shared oysters and a phenomenal lemon meringue dessert.

Their filet mignon is a culinary masterpiece. Cutting it was effortless and a joy. The atmosphere is inviting. Check out the Wikipedia page on this restaurant; it has an amazing history behind its conversion from a church to a restaurant. I loved how they still restore the architecture.

Cocktails and desserts were great. Amazing service. For dinner, one side dish was extremely over salted and the server was very kind and removed it from our check. The rest of the food was just very lackluster especially considering the prices.

We had the best time…honestly one of the best experiences ever in a fine dining restaurant. First of all, we loved the unique atmosphere. The food was incredible. The staff was informative, enthusiastic, & knowledgeable. A special shout-out to Kaleigh P. We couldn’t have asked for a better server! Thank you for a memorable experience!

We enjoyed our dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. Everything was delicious, although the broccoli had a bit too much garlic which overwhelmed the broccoli taste. We loved everything else! I had the Swordfish Piccata and my husband had the Rockfish, and both were cooked to perfection and were very good. The service was a little slow, but it was a busy night, and we are very patient people. It is also somewhat noisy, but we were in the main dining room not far from the bar, and that is probably why the noise level was fairly high. Next time we go, we will ask for the Mezzanine where we think it might be quieter. We were given a Marriott gift card for Christmas - the purchaser had gone to Wye Oak to buy a gift card, but they were not yet available, and it was suggested that they buy a Marriott gift card which would be accepted. It was not accepted, even though the Marriott website says that all Marriott GCs are accepted at all their sites. So that was a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, we will go back, and we highly recommend Wye Oak Tavern. The Voltaggio Brothers have done a tremendous job!! Just be sure that, if using a gift card, don't use a Marriott one!

The service was excellent…. The presentation of food and drinks very professional. Noise level difficult because of high ceilings but nice space between tables. Now to the food: I consider myself a very good cook. When dining out I am all about ingredients and content. I will start saying top grade ingredients. Too much fluff…. Would be better off not trying to surprise with combinations vs content. I am glad I went but would rethink going back. It has great possibilities but need to show their abilities with tried and true dishes….. just my opinion ..,,
