   Appetizers had a good variety of fun things like fried olives and alligator bites. The menu was varied. Each meal was perfectly prepared for us. Sides are made for sharing as each is a separate price. Service was excellent and attentive. The manhattan drinks were delicious. Desserts appealed to many tastes.

   First time being there for New Years Eve. It is an excellent place to eat. Food was prepped properly, and the servings were filling. I recommend the Chilean Bass. Clean and prompt service. Atmosphere is moderate as long as you don't have a person from another table deciding to get over the top with the drinks. You can get that anywhere though. Server was excellent and recommended items to get. Packed the take up for you and bagged it. Cost was expected being a high-end place to eat and on New Years Eve. Highly recommend. Will be back.

   Wissota Chophouse was a wonderful dining experience for our New Year's Eve Dinner! Our server was excellent. She was sweet, courteous and checked in on us just enough. Our drinks were excellent - especially the Mistletoe Margarita - I think we had 4 of those! All of our food selections were excellent as well. We loved everything we tried, the slab bacon, truffle fries and lobster bisque were all excellent. Some in our party had steaks, I had the scallops - all very good. We ended our meal by sharing the chocolate cake and carrot cake - AMAZING!! We will definitely go back!

   I dine here once/month when in town visiting my mom. The food and service are consistently good and the specials change frequently enough that I'm never bored with my options. I particularly enjoyed the poached jumbo prawns with pomegranate "caviar" on top of a luscious creamed spinach sauce. The prawns were perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. The "caviar" accentuated the sweetness of the prawns and the sauce was divine. I didn't understand the need for the alfalfa sprouts on top. The dish would have been fine without them. I also really enjoyed the holiday old fashioned I had as an after dinner drink. The mulled fruit and bit of port wine made for an interesting and slightly sweet variation on the classic southern version. Another fine meal and I've made my reservation for my next visit already.

   We were the first customers of the day and greeted very kindly upon entry. Sat at the bar to enjoy a happy hour beverage. Our bartender and server, James, was quick to take our drink and app order - the Mediterranean Flatbread - SO delicious. At this time, the restaurant was getting busier and James was rocking it behind the bar and serving tables! For dinner, we ordered a Caesar Salad, Lobster Bisque, Autumn Airline Chicken Breast with added Wild Mushroom Medley and Mushroom Risotto. Everything was perfect! I was torn between the Risotto and Garlic Chive Mashed Potatoes and told James to surprise me. Glad he did because the Mushroom Risotto was the best I’ve had yet - so velvety and cheesy with tons of mushrooms and just enough richness to keep you going back for more. Highly recommend this restaurant! And shout out to James for great service!

    Everything was fantastic. We chose this restaurant on a whim while we were in town for work for a night and we definitely made the right choice. Our server (Scott, I think?) was fantastic and the food was amazing. If we are ever back in the Janesville area, it will be the first stop on our list.
