Food was delicious, server very professional, but noise level unpleasant. Music was too loud and even when the volume was lowered for a short time, always got louder again—felt like I was sitting next to a trumpet!

Amazing! Excellent food and service. Both Wife and I had Beef Wellington enhanced with scallops, I had Lobster Bisque and wife had Onion Soup for appetizers. We both had Orange Vanilla crème Brûlée for dessert. For drinks I had a smoky old fashioned and wife had a red sangria. Everything was delicious!

Great atmosphere, service and food. We had a quiet private table on the second floor by the bar. Drinks and food were superb. This was our 3rd time eating here and will make sure to always make reservations when we visit Newport.

I had the seafood of the day (sword fish) outstanding. My wife had the sirloin and fries (outstanding). Service and all were outstanding. Go there for any special occasion. We were fortunate to find parking behind the restaurant. Make sure you have reservations in advance (e.g. through OpenTable.)

Atmosphere was excellent, service was solid, food was not good. Based on reviews was looking forward to a good meal but may have been because of it Christmas week not having regular staff. Not exactly sure why, but chicken was smothered in way too much gravy and swordfish (“catch of the day”) was rubbery and not good at all. Cool to see the oldest tavern in the US, but not a great place to eat.
