At The White Horse Tavern we strive to create a fresh, contemporary culinary experience in America’s Oldest Restaurant. Like generations before us, we serve the freshest fish, clams and lobsters from Narragansett Bay along with just-picked produce from local RI’s farms. We embrace RI’s vibrant food scene to bring you the very best artisan cheeses, honeys, prime cuts of beef and the highest quality chops and poultry from local farms. We are proud to embrace RI's vibrant food scene, which has made the White Horse Tavern a New England destination.

Proper Dress Required; Business Casual is appropriate. Jackets are not required. Please no athletic wear.

Please note any allergies or special requests when making your reservation or any restrictions with stairs. Reservations are recommended to be made 2 to 4 weeks prior to your preferred dining date and time. Specific tables may be requested however we are unable to guarantee certain requests.

    It was quiet busy on a Sunday evening when arrived there for our anniversary dinner. We were seated on time and the service was excellent. Food was excellent, as usual. We both had a Scotch egg for appetizers, which we don't often see in the USA, followed by their renowned individual Beef Wellingtons as mains, which were delicious as always! We were quite full after our main course, so split a desert to finish. Nice ambiance in the USA oldest continually operating bar and restaurant from the mid 1600's.

    The food and ambiance were amazing. Service was outstanding. The scotch egg and beef wellington were a culinary experience. Worth every penny.

    White Horse Tavern is excellent. The food and service is second to none. You can feel the 350 year plus history of the building and all the great times that have been had there. Simply put, how could you turn down a dinner recommendation from our Founding Fathers?

    I had the cheeseboard to start the beef, Wellington and crème brûlée for dessert. Each one was executed beautifully had flavor and seasoning cooked to perfection 10 to 10 recommend
