   I had a very enjoyable business lunch there today. Pear salad was delicious and the service was top-notch. One of my favorite spots on the main line.

   This was the second disappointing experience with this restaurant, which, in the past has been a high-quality staple. First, we felt rushed, even though the restaurant really wasn’t that full. Second, the food was only warm when it should’ve been hot. Although the food is tasty, there really isn’t a good reason for multiple dishes not to be sufficiently warm. To be honest, not sure when we’ll go back to this particular location of the White Dog Café. It does not seem to be at the same level as the one downtown in Philadelphia.

   We enjoyed our dinner in the ‘pub’room, The service was attentive. The food was excellent. The White Dog is a safe bet on the Main Line.

   dropped a star on the overall score because we had to wait nearly 30 minutes after our reservation time for a table (Sunday lunchtime). That said, once seated, we had an excellent overall experience. White Dog also gave us an "I'm sorry" appetizer and the manager came by later in our meal to apologize for the wait. Otherwise, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We were seated in a brightly lit and comfortable room. Food was outstanding and service was exemplary.

   Peter was excellent at the bar, and, his service was stellar. Our reservation with a request to enjoy a high top in the bar was not available for 35 minutes after requested time. We decided to just eat at the bar. While we understand well that these requests can be difficult to fill, it would be good to have better communication and perhaps alternative seating suggested . The food was excellent .

   Had a reservation however was seated 30 min after reservation. We had to rush through our meal. Wine overpriced. Service is always great.
