   We went for Sunday brunch and had a marvelous time. Every aspect of the meal - ambiance, service and food - was great!

   The food was excellent, the waitress Fiona was amazing but I am not a fan of the noice level. We got seated near 3 couples who I guess felt the necessity to add the rest of the room to their personal conversations about their persoanal lives to a degree a few tables around us were squirmish. I guess these days with the take over of White Dog by the bigger group the crowd class is much lower. Also not a fan of that dumb sign about the 3% surcharge for CC in the year 2024. Sure CC fees are what they are but add it to the cost ? Who uses cash ? teenagers, and money launderers. Anyway the meal and the waitress were the highlights. Ambience is a big NO and the CC surcharge was just pathetic for a restaurant group that owns all those other restaurants.

   We dined here with friends we haven’t seen in awhile and had wonderful service courtesy of Fiona. The food was also very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the Flounder Piccata and it was delicious. The restaurant was very noisy and tables were close together to the point it was hard to get out of my seat to use the restroom. Also, we unfortunately left on a perplexing note. The manager was, at first, subtle in getting us to leave our table but then later came over and started to take our glasses off the table - less than 2 hours after our meal. We got the hint and left. Together we spent over $600 that night and pushing us to leave after not even being there 2 hours was a bit much and, unfortunately, their bar is also too small to gather post meal. Not a place we will return to catch up with friends.

   My perspective is based upon food allergy—specifically being gluten free. The menu is not flexible and there were maybe two items on the entire menu that were gluten free. Our waiter offered no assistance or suggestions which left me to conclude the kitchen was inflexible. That was disappointing.

    I haven’t been to White Dog in many years. I took my partner there for lunch today. We both got the cheeseburger. We both ordered them medium temperature and I asked for no tomatoes. The order arrived after a fair bit of time. And although they were not busy about half or less than half full I would say. The burgers were both barely warm and both were cooked past medium. They seemed to have been sitting in the back for some time. Mine was delivered with no onions instead of no tomato. My partner ordered a pino noir and I guess since she didn’t specify a specified one was given the most expensive glass they had. We found out when we received the bill. $20 for one glass of wine. The cheapest pino was $13. Overall very disappointing and for $80 was an expensive let down.
