   Long time visitor to white dog but first time in Chester springs location. Disappointed over all. First, ambiance is def not the same here as other locations. Lacking the subtle dog references in odd locations. This place looked like a chain but I can get past that. Hostess gave us a terrible seat (restaurant was not busy). I asked to change to one of the many empty booths. This did not make her happy but eventually she obliged. I ordered a spicy margarita…tasted like water. As a starter, we ordered the cheese plate. Arrived looking like a kid tossed some stuff on it…and it was not the cheese selection we ordered. Dinners were decent. The halibut special and a burger. No complaints! Lastly, white dog always has class. People dress. I’ve never seen a place with more sweatpants and backward hats. Get it together Chester springs. This isn’t IHOP.

   This establishment is nicely decorated. We especially liked the older part of the building. Lots of old charm. The food was good. We both had soups and split the beet salad. Our entrees consisted of the halibut special (which was a little overcooked) and the meatloaf (that needed more binder to hold it together). We were disappointed that if you wanted bread you had to pay extra and if you wanted vegetables with your entree that was extra as well. We feel if you are paying high prices that should be included.

   White Dog Chester Springs was a great experience for me and my family. The restaurant is gorgeous, both inside and out. Very cozy and comfortable! Our waitress Gail was wonderful. Food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Nice broad selection of menu items to please everyone’s tastes. Dessert was delicious…I highly recommend the Coconut Rice Pudding! It is a little pricey but the food truly is delicious and the experience is top-notch.

   The overall experience was good and the reason for that was the staff, which were excellent. Food was good but not excellent. Our main meal came out with lobster undercooked, steak overcooked, with the crab cake addition and sides cold. They did re-fire the entire meal which was more than most would do. Staff was very accommodating with this issue, but it shouldn’t be on them to make us feel like they needed to address the issue by comping a dessert or anything else from what seemed to need to come out of their own pocket. Would try here again, but not during any special days or events.

   First time at this location. Everything was good except the food. Didn’t see the value for the dollar. Probably won’t go back as there are more options in the area.

    Service was great and very attentive! Soup could have been a little hotter. Need to fix the bar so staff don't have to crawl under the counter!!
