   Wonderful lunch! Plenty of gluten free options. We had delicious soups and omelets. Loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

   Always looked forward to the truffle fries here. Lately…the last two or three times I’ve been here…the fries have not been fresh. It’s such a disappointment because it’s otherwise a five star experience.

   Decor is cute and dining rooms comfortable. Food excellent. Service excellent. Only issue is parking lot too small.

   On our second visit to White Dog Chester Springs, the food, decor, Christmas decorations and table service were five star again. I loved my chopped smoked salmon salad and will return to have it again. Unfortunately we had the same disappointing experience we had the first time with the service at check-in. We felt as though we were an interruption. Smiles were in short supply. Eyes were on the computer screen and not on guests entering the restaurant. I hope we will feel more welcome on our next visit.

   Decent place. Parking is atrocious. Seemed like they wanted to keep things moving too quickly.

   Vicker's Tavern was always one of our favorite romantic hot spots and we missed it when it closed. White Dog has done a great job renovating and expanding its footprint. We felt very welcomed upon arriving and I had jokingly asked for a table near a fireplace because we live in Florida now. When we checked in, the hostess chuckled and guided us to a table right next to a fireplace! They offer a nice list of cocktails and wines by the glass. To start, definitely try the mushroom soup, it was amazing. The flounder, trout and cajun catfish entrees were very well done. Service was accommodating and friendly. We had a very good experience.

    Food and service were excellent, but I can't figure out why we could not get a reservation at 6. We took one for 5:30 but the place was still empty when we left at 7. I also don't understand why we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated when the place was empty. Maybe a tad snooty. . .
