   Maple almond salmon is so so good. I recommend getting the balsamic reduction on the side otherwise it's a little much.

   Overall it was a nice experience for Valentine’s Day the music was good, our server was great and the place was fun. The only problem I have is we were there for dinner as well as dancing, the food was good but overpriced for what you get. I ordered the fish and chips and it was $18 and it came on a small plate with 2 pieces of fish that weren’t very big, a tiny bit of fries maybe equivalent to a small fry at one of the fast food chains and a spin full of coleslaw. For $18 I expected a little bit more, so lesson learned we would probably eat before going there again.

   We had 3 different waitresses/waiters replace one another during our visit. Out of sweet potato fries Out of clean forks so given a plastic fork. Not a real good experience.

   We attended on a Monday night with a reservation for four. The sign was posted to wait to be seated with no one at the host station and a server difficult to find. It turned out there was one server in duty that evening; she was very cordial, extremely busy and apologetic. We were pleased with our food orders and drinks. Not her fault, but service was slow and we had to track her down to pay our bill, as the bartender could not close out our tab. The place is probably busy on the weekends. Our first experience here was not a great one.

   Our food sat under the warmer for a long time bore it got to us. Menu very limited. Probably won’t be back

   The food is decent bar food. For us, it was a bit loud. The play off football game was on, bunt I don't feel it was necessary to have the volume so loud on each TV that you couldn't talk to people in our party of four. Service was average. Our waitress never cleared our table of the dirty dishes.

    Was very very pleased with the way we were treated by Dirk's. I had a reservation for 8 on a Saturday night with live music (usually VERY BUSY) and 2 of our couples (4 people) bailed on us last minute (the trouble with young kid families). I expected that Dirk's might tell us we were out of luck and give away our table but instead they told us not to worry about it, got us seated on time, and treated us excellently. We came specifically to listen to the Kruse Brothers (local country talent if you are interested) and was very pleased with the food, hostess, servers, etc. Would go again in a heartbeat! THANKS DIRK'S!!! FYI - while the restaurant is all ages at 800pm on a Saturday I would not bring kids. It is a country bar (good fun times) but very geared towards adults at that time. During the day - no issues.
