Located in the Greengate shopping center in Short Pump, West Coast Provisions offers an inventive approachable American Fusion menu specializing in shellfish, fresh fish, sushi and steak. It has a big city feel with a sleek décor, tall ceilings, large windows, exposed brick, a fireplace, a private dining room and one of Richmond’s largest outdoor patios. First time experience. The staff was very welcoming and checked on us often. We were provided with a special tasting of their famous squid dish-very tasty and not at all what you would expect. Brunch was delicious!

Enjoyed our meal at WCP...service was friendly but a bit spotty with rushed waitress, but things moved fairly nicely...four or us and all enjoyed meals....still a good value for your dining buck whether you opt for small plates as I do or enjoy a main like the rest of the party.

I was an hour early (!) for my reservation, but was immediately seated by an incredibly friendly server. I asked for her cocktail recommendation, and her suggestion (A Crime of Pure Passion) was fantastic! She continued to check on me, and later us, throughout the evening. It was the perfect amount of check-in. My roasted rockfish was incredible. Perfectly seasoned, the bay leaf polenta was creamy and flavorful. The salad of slivered asparagus, arugula, prosciutto, dates and Parmesan was the perfect accompaniment and incredibly delicious. It was a wonderful evening. I’ll be back!

You really can’t go wrong with this spot, the food is out of this world! I had the scallops and I have to say it ranked for me as one of the best scallop dishes I’ve ever eaten in my life! My server was attentive and very personable. I will definitely be back!

Food was delicious, served promptly and portioned well. Atmosphere was relaxed and felt like we were eating somewhere nice but not too stuffy. Only complaint is when I booked the reservation, I selected we were celebrating a birthday, and none of the associates mentioned it while we were there. Maybe a flaw in the app... maybe feedback for the West Coast. Either way, great place and we would go there again.

Ok restaurant. Probably won’t go there again. Clean and comfortable seating. Staff was nice. Food choices were kinda weird but seemed like a nice restaurant so we went. So much potential but so little choices. Be prepared to season your own food. I had the rock fish and there was absolutely no flavor. Served with skin on and it was completely inedible. Why serve me that? The polenta was so bad and dry. Inedible. Like a dry oatmeal. The fish tacos were good. Just go across the street and spend less for the same. Calamari was weird. It was “fried” I guess but they drenched it in a sweet sauce and then there was just a soggy calamari. It was cooked well but it was just a soggy sweet calamari. It’s a nice restaurant with a confused kitchen.

John, We are very sorry to hear our kitchen did not meet your expectations. The Rockfish and Calamari are amongst our most popular items on the menu so it sounds like we missed the mark. The Calamari does have a sauce on it but it should be lightly tossed over the calamari and the rockfish should have the skin on but it should be crispy skin. Sometimes people opt to remove the skin if it is not their preference. We would love to invite you back to give us another try.
