Went on a quiet Monday evening, found the ambiance and staff pleasant and the food good. Might be rather different experience on a busier night/weekend, but certainly happy to recommend for a relaxed meal at a decent price in a welcoming pub :)

Always a good time at the Welly. A really nice Sunday lunch experience. Proper friendly welcome. Given a nice table. Speedy service. Had the roast beef with an extra portion of cauliflower cheese on the side. Delicious, hot and plenty of it. Staff were attentive. It would be nice if we had our own sauces, horseradish, cranberry etc on the table rather than being served by staff, but literally the only gripe. Had the Apple and Raspberry crumble for pudding. Hot and yummy. Clean toilets and dog friendly A great local with good food and friendly staff.

Excellent pub, staff, food, choice of drinks and decor were all spot on, great value too and everything was just what was needed for pre-game food& drinks. I’d come again!
