   Family meal here boxing day.Very busy and too much for the staff to cope with for how many people were there.Sadly we had a long wait for our food.Food was adequate but I've had better meals there I think staff were put under too much pressure.Very friendly service though

   Sorry to read this Debbie. We had our usual staffing number on shift. We can only accommodate 36 doners at any one time plus drinkers at the bar; sometimes all our diners arrive at once and that does put pressure on the kitchen but this shouldn't have affected you like this. This isn't our normal standard at all and we are sorry that we have let you down.

   Whole experience absolutely fabulous. 31st wedding anniversary dinner divine. Food, service etc wonderful. Will most definitely be returning.

   We had a lovely evening, great atmosphere, great service and good food. Will definitely be going back and feel lucky to have found such a gem in our local area. New owners have done well!

   Wonderful night spent at the Wattenden Arms - Carol Service with a Brass Band followed by a lovely meal with friends. Food was excellent. Loved every minute.

   We had a lovely meal about 3months ago so decided to come again. We had a roast dinner and my friends was very disappointing. It would be nice to have roast sliced thinly. Her beef came ina big think slice. Very fatty hard to cut and chew. I had lamb which was lovely. The carrots you couldnt eat as so hard. Very diaapponting

   We are so sorry Marie; did you let us know at the time as we should've changed the meal immediately. Customer satisfaction is key to us. As you can see from the other reviews on this site - this is not our standard at all. We do hope you will give us another chance.

   Breakfast at The Wattenden today was superb!!!! Lovely Christmas atmosphere, service as always was fantastic and the full English was excellent!!!! The ingredients were very high quality! Will definitely be back for breakfast again soon

   A friendly, efficient and well organised pub. The food is top notch and beautifully presented. We went for an early Christmas meal and there was a small live band to entertain us. It was an excellent evening, and even the chef came out to see if we'd enjoyed the meal. Will be returning again next month. Highly recommended.

    Great food home cooked which is rare nowadays. Service excellent and we had the luxury of live music which was gentle in the background. As a bonus my partner had his favourite beer Harvey’s there. I’ve rebooked for Christmas Eve.
