   Husband and I dined there for anniversary dinner on 12/19. A favorite for many years, it was memorable with an assorted menu of many choices and nice preparations. Started with ultra fresh raw oysters and squid noodles...both wonderful. My lobster bisque was tasty, but more lobster bits would have made it better. Entrees were branzino nicely filleted, with rice and veggies, all served hot and fresh. The other entree grilled tuna was well prepared but lacked flavor in sauce. We didn't order dessert but were pleasantly surprised with two complimentary bites of chocolate for our special occasion. Very enjoyable experience.

   Absolutely fantastic! Our server was so attentive, just like waiters in every restaurant used to be in the old days. He seemed genuinely interested to engage with us, and he really cared about our ordering process and our enjoyment of the meal. LUCA went out of his way to make sure we had a most enjoyable time. After every interaction with him, he ended it with “thank you“. Very classy in my opinion. I loved it that without our really realizing it he would gently sweep away the crumbs that had accumulated on the table cloth. Our dessert wasn’t to our liking, even though he had suggested it, and he comped it for Us That is so great. The overall ambience is very tasteful the view of the Bay and the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge is stunning. I wish the hostesses had been a little cheerier …these young ladies they can’t even break a smile. Yes it is expensive, but the food is top-notch, absolute quality, and the service is stupendous. Five stars and two thumbs up!

   The food was excellent but the Opakapaka carpaccio stole the show, it was incredibly delicious. We also had the crab cocktail very fresh and tasty, a little more sauce would have been great. We ordered the Miso Cod and the Alaskan Halibut, we loved both dishes. I liked the Halibut more and my friend liked the Cod more. Dessert was the warm apple crisp, a great finish to a wonderful meal. Our server was so helpful, attentive and friendly. Wish I had gotten her name. She was wonderful

   Food eaten by 8 people was horrid. Flavors were terrible. Salad was extremely salted and unpalatable and soggy. Many people left their course it was so bad. Dessert was a major disappointment. The apple crisp came on an ice cold plate. Apple filling tasted like out of a can. The ice cream was inbelieveably bad. Who eats or likes Camembert ice cream. We would not co back unless cook and food menus and taste was brought to standard. Also one customer got the wrong entree and had to wait for another. The waiter was not unpleasant but was disinterested and not engaged. That being said, ambiance was wonderful. Flavors need a lot of work.

   Tonight was a celebration of our Wedding. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable About the selections. At the end of the meal they brought a plater that said congratulations and some bubbly to celebrate.
