   I looked for a place that was affordable with still good ratings and I found it but it was way more than I expected. The handmade noodles, sauce and bread were exquisite. Top noch. It was busy but that’s always a good sign in NYC. We were 45min early for our reservation and we were able to get in sooner. They are very accommodating and kind. Highly recommend! Will be going back for more!

   We love this restaurant! One of the best in the neighborhood! Consistently delicious!! The kale Caesar salad is exceptional as are the pastas and the flatbreads! Service is excellent. What more could anyone ask for?

   We were at the restaurant at about 4:30. It was surprisingly crowded., but we thought it was because it was small. The food was good, service was excellent. Our group had salads, flatbread pizza, and pasta dishes, all were good.

   Amazing restaurant and overall experience. The staff are great, the food is amazing and unfussy, the ambience and feel are warm and cozy, and the owner is thoughtful and generous. Couldn't recommend Water and Wheat more!

   Water & Wheat is a charming neighborhood spot with a wonderful menu and well prepared creative dishes celebrating the best of Tuscan comfort food. Their lunch special is awesome. Don’t miss their superb butternut squash soup.

    Broad set of options for homemade pasta. Choose your shape and pair it with the sauce you want. Portions were generous. Favorites at the table were al la vodka, a la Norma, and lasagne. My chicken parm was not the best thing to order here, and the Brussell sprouts that came with it were mushy. Servers were excellent: attentive, responsive, and helpful.
