   Food was delicious for the most part. The Yuzu soda is a must-try! Ambience was what put it over the top for me, really fun retro vibe, we got to sit in the balcony and really enjoyed it

   Lively venue with a great alfresco concept. I haven't been here for many years and we were really excited but underwhelmed. The food was average, overrated, and overpriced. The sashimi was too thin and few as was the octopus that was presented like cut-off scraps. The protein was too thin and overpowered by too much dressing. Not in a hurry to revisit given we are spoilt for choice with so many other cute Japanese restaurants and cafes.

   When booking our table I selected to be outside but we were put out on the front street. I was expecting to be put in the garden. We asked if we could move inside as tables were turning over and we were straight away told no. I think it would be better to stipulate in your table options that outside can also mean on the street as you don’t really get the experience of the venue on the street and I would have opted for inside if I knew this. We also found the food to be quite mediocre so the overall experience wasn’t amazing.

   Waited ages to order, drinks took 20 mins, food took 40 mins to arrive. Food only average. Not worth the wait.

   The place is over rated. Waited 45 mins for food to be served. Ordered Ramen but it didn’t taste like ramen. The salmon sashimi was good and the grilled wagyu from set dinner was good, but side dishes didn’t go well with each other as well as seasoning

    Overall a really nice dinner at wabi sabi. Never been before I decided to book outside dining as online and their Instagram it looks like you sit in a garden courtyard. Unfortunately we were a table on the front foot path walkway. So ambience wasn’t good due to people walking past, trams, cars ect. Wish I booked inside. Food was good, and service was good. I would come back to try more of their menu!
