Not what I expected from seeing photos on the website. Very basic pub type dining and very limited menu.

The only thing that let it down was how long it took to get served at the bar, over 5 mins.. I think you need more bar staff & the 1’s who were there were more concerned about washing the glasses rather than serving customers

An extremely overpriced menu. Three of us went for Sunday lunch at £15 for 3 courses. The starters were self serve and sat on the side... some looked dried up and inedible. Nothing was labelled so you had to guess what everything was. Most were salad in a small jar or compote or smoothie?? We had to ask for fresh bread and more soup, which was in a thermos jug. The main course was mediocre. And there wasn't any choice for dessert. It was a compote or muffin or Danish pastry??? Which had all been sat on the side with the starters. The service was awful. No cutlery laid on the table, even though we had booked and reserved. We had to wait for long periods to have our plates removed and we had to ask to have our mains taken away after about half an hour of just sitting there. We will not be returning!!! Terrible.

Very expensive food for the quality received. We had Sunday lunch.Starters were ok nothing special. The 'greek" salad didn't have any greek cheese? The main course was nice and well presented. However the desserts were shocking! Clearly left over breakfast items which you would never choose to eat at sunday lunch for dessert.Coissants, granola & yogurt,Pain au chocolate & muffins ☹

Annual Family Christmas meal just after Xmas, waited ages for the food, then have it come out at different times. I ate my meal 45mins after the first person did. We did get a free drink as compensation but that was after I complained about it all. Would have preferred someone to come an offer this with an apology without me moaning. The food wasn’t bad but definitely not worth the prices. Shame the standards have gone down. Will be finding somewhere else next year.

I visited here after a colleague reccommended the carvery based on her visit to the hotel in Shirley. Unfortunately I would not return to the walsall hotel based on the poor quality of the food. The yorkshire puddings and stuffing balls were stone cold. There were limited options of vegetables. The meat was poor quality and only one slice given per choice. I think adverising it as 4 courses is also misleading, particularly given there is no explanation of what this consists of. Having soup and fish are both options for starters in my opinion, i.e. 1 course. There were also no labels to explain what some of the foods were. Most were obvious but at least the soup should be labelled.

There was a wedding on when we arrived but the waitress sat us in the corner so we could have a nice quiet meal which was very kind of them. Fish and chips was the best I’ve ever had! The wraps were fab to! Will be returning! X
