   We visit Villa Peru when we visit Tucson, once a year🌵This is the fourth year in a row that we have dined here, and this year we were able to “see” that our “investment” is paying off! They have doubled the size of the restaurant, added a private dining room, a new huge front door, and all new tables and chairs! Bravo! We’ll be back😁

   Food was wonderful as usual. The recent expansion and remodel was well done: very classy looking. Server was knowledgeable and attentive. Can't wait to come back!

   The expansion is pretty and I like the added space. The food was excellent as usual. I made a reservation a week in advance on a night that was not busy. Despite having an appealing table near the wall with more privacy and away from the kitchen the staff attempted to sit us right next to the kitchen and basically in the walk way to the back of the restaurant. No thank you. I asked for one of the other 5 open tables and it was evident the waitress did not want to accommodate my request. She even lied and told me that that table had a reservation. When I sat and stared at her, she said she would go double check and ended up seeing us there. No other parties came into the restaurant, the rest of the evening. Not impressed with that. I don’t care to sit at an undesirable table because it’s convenient for staff. Noise level was through the roof and it was hard to hear the people across the table from us. It took forever to get drinks. And then took forever again to get our order taken. Not the experience I’ve had with this restaurant in the past. I did have a reservation for the following week and decided to cancel it because the experience at Villa Peru has gone downhill.

   Friends in from multiple states. All loved their food. We shared several appetizers (all good) and then split a large potion of paella. Still had some left. Arrived hot and was very tasty. They enjoyed their specialty drink (Pisco Sour). A fun and tasty introduction to Peruvian foods.

   The server, Jesse, was awful. He acted like a prissy little cat the whole evening. He gave me dirty looks and made snarky comments whenever I asked a question. This is the first time that I have left no tip. I wish the server would have been friendly and helpful. He was none of these things.

   The food is soooo good. Place is pricy! 2 dishes and a bottle of wine, a glass of white was 177.00. But we left so happy and pallets were satisfied. They gave us a free appetizer card from past and had their stuffed potato. It’s to die for. I love their new renovations, more room and very inviting!

    Food was great. There on ceviche week with a party of six. The table reserved for us was great, except the sun glared directly at 2 of the seatings. No way to stop the very direct sunlight. We were moved to a high table in the bar. Bench seating almost like a tall picnic table. Had to crawl over the bench to sit. Youngest in our group was 70. Very difficult. Was given dinner menus. We had to ask for the ceviche menu. It was advertised and we had to ask. Given one for six people. Drink orders were taken but over 30 minutes before waiter returned for food order. We all had ceviche and it was great! Two cocktails ordered, also great. Server was very nice but absent. Quiet and we could talk to each other. Wonderful. Price for ceviche was very, very reasonable. We will go back but will note we do not want bar seating.
