   Absolutely loved my time here. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. This is my go to venue when I visit Redding.

   I really want to give a good review. The staff were nice, the food was delicious but the service was very, very slow. Thank goodness for the great conversation and beautiful view.

   The service was good except one of our drinks came very late (almost done with dinner). The food was okay. I had chicken added to my fettuccine and it was cold. The Caesar salad was okay but a lot of dressing.

   We ate dinner there on 10/30/24. We were very disappointed and we won't return. My buddy ordered branzino and I a filet mignon. The branzino is described on the menu as, "Pan Seared Branzino Served with An Emulsified Butter Sauce Over a Bed of Baby Broccoli and Saffron Risotto" The steak, "Filet Mignon Served with a Beef Demi Glace, House Mashed Potatoes, and Tricolor Carrots" Well, the branzino was on top of something that looked like yellow-colored boxed rice from the grocery store, and it was not just room temperature, but cold like they took it out of the refrigerator before serving it. It was not by any stretch actual risotto. And there was not baby broccoli present on the dish. Also, it was a tiny piece of fish that was about three ounces, including the skin, and it was wildly overdone. It looked dehydrated. As for this steak, it did not come with tri-colored carrots, but just orange ones, and the Beef Demi Glace sauce was basically gloppy wine-based gravy, not sauce. Also, the waiter had indicated the steak was 'really thick', like 2 inches. However when it came it was about the flattest little filet I've ever been served, maybe 1 inch thick before it was cooked, and weighing perhaps 4-5oz.

   Excellent! I hadn’t been back for 2 years because of a bad experience. Joe has done a great job. Service still needs fine tuning but the food was great- salads fresh, salmon delicious, pizza fired in outdoor oven so good. We’ll be back!

   Train wreck of a dinner. Out of menu suggestions. Undercooked and our waitress pulled a 30 minute no-show! Avoid this overpriced place at all costs!

   We ordered the Fig and Pig as an appetizer, before our mostly salad dinners. It was great! The wait staff were very friendly.

   Well thank goodness for server Pete stepping in when our original server all but disappeared from us. It was an hour from the time we sat and got our entree. Very unacceptable. When my table mate got up to find him, she found Pete who got the ball rolling for us and made sure the rest of our experience was more pleasant. My table mate was a friend visiting from back home whom I had told how much I enjoyed View 202 the one other time I’d been here. (We just moved here in the spring) Good thing the food was good because I was very embarrassed my the situation. Appetizer - salmon tartare was very good. Ceasar salad was fine, nothing special. Friend enjoyed her halibut, I had the fig and pig pizza which was very nice, Our food did not show up hot, but at that point we were just so hungry and tired and just wanted to eat and go.

   Miguel was our wait staff. He was attentive without being intrusive. There were seven in our party & the entrees all arrived at the same time. The outside patio had gorgeous views which we enjoyed. The entree serving sizes were on the small side. However they were delicious albeit quite expensive for the amount on the plate. The corkage fee was $25 for our bottle of champagne. A tad steep but well worth not paying the regular cocktail prices. Overall, View 202 provided a reliable, pleasant celebration for our fortieth wedding anniversary.
