Veritas is a 20-year-old West County restaurant offering our community a relaxed, yet sophisticated place to enjoy innovative food and drink.
Chef / Owner Mathis Stitt’s open kitchen allows everyone to see exactly how he turns fresh, locally sourced provisions into enticing and delicious offerings. While these beautiful compositions are clearly the stars, our entire team takes pride in the relationships developed and nurtured around a Veritas table.
For 8 years, Ian Froebe of the Post Dispatch has published a list of the Top 100 Restaurants in St. Louis - Chef Mathis’ Veritas has been on all of them.

It's been a few years since we visited Veritas; it has improved from an "8" to a "9." Excellent menu, food, and service. Highly recommend.

We got the steak and fries to share along with amazing brussel sprouts and it was simply delicious! Paired with a wine flight and then an after dinner cocktail that was amazing Sat by the kitchen and watched all the delicious entrees going out and will definitely be back to try the pasta dish we missed! Great service as always!

One of our favorite neighborhood gems! Loved the cocktails and fish/chips and burger wrap specials tonight, and capped it off with s’mores and a cider cocktail at the fire pit on the heated patio! Great food from Chef Mathis and will definitely be back!

We always enjoy a brunch at Veritas. The Breakfast Burrito with house-made mole sauce is a favorite, but you can’t go wrong with the French Toast with warm fruit compote. Or go for a lunch twist with the Kale Salad with fried chicken.

Always great food. Hannah is always the best. Everything on the menu is delicious. Never had nothing but a wonderful dinner out at Veritas.

Amazing dinner at Veritas tonight. While we enjoyed every dish, the butternut squash risotto with lamb sausage was superb. And I can’t leave out the wine paring from Bric Cenciurio winery. Excellent all around!
