   The food was delicious. The drinks took an awhile to get to us but were great once they arrived. Fun vibe great crowd, Busy night I get it. Our server was so nice and helpful made up for the wait for our drinks. The hostess/manager howereve was so RUDE! It’s not tat we wanted to stay longer it was the wait for the drinks and the biill. Her tone was YOU have to be out of this table in 30 minutes Period. Well, we had just ordered more food and another round of drinks. 25 minutes later we were served did our best to accommodate her request and went to the bar. no one sat at our table for another 20 -30 minutes. It’s not the request to leave but her delivery was abrupt, unkind , unneccesary , and rude. She should not be in the service industry. Without h er the Valerie was a 5 star plus.

   As we entered the restaurant we were poorly greeted by the host. We did not feel welcomed at all. Once seated it took our server over 10 minutes to come to the table and take a drinks order. We ordered two brunch items. One came out and 30 mins later we were still waiting for the second. Once we asked for the check the second item miraculously appeared. We ended up leaving with one $18 pancake and one drink for two diners. Overall the worst dining experience ever. Such a shame after seeing so many great reviews and walking half way across the city to get there.

   There were only 3 entrees to select from for lunch. Not a large menu. HUGE cocktail menu but couldn’t give me a glass of Champagne. Only Prosecco. It was just OK. They did make me a delish cosmo/ I will give them that. And there are so many excellent restaurants in NYC this was a let down.

   Good for drinks and meeting friends and date night. Had a mixed drink that was literally all crushed ice to the top of the glass with little actual alcohol. Ordered truffle pasta entree that had no truffle flavor (garlic pasta?) and was appetizer size for $35. Very good burger. Side Truffle fries came regular (but still was up charged for it even after saying it was regular fries).

    Ambience, food and drinks were all incredible! We had the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Valerie Brandt Beef Burger and Steak Frites, both perfect. We drank the Mary Ann Moriarity mocktail and the Coquito, both delicious. The Christmas decor was exactly what I was looking for. Service could have been better. The hostesses waited to finish their conversation before acknowledging me when I arrived. Everyone around had their food orders taken and received food long before us despite arriving upwards of 30 minutes after us. Eventually, I had to ask the server who had brought us our drinks earlier if she could please take our order, food came out shortly after without issue. Besides that, servers were incredibly attentive.
