The Uptown Cafe is a Louisville original restaurant, established in 1985. Located on historic Bardstown Rd., guests can enjoy an elevated dining experience while looking out to the local nightlife. The Uptown specializes in delicious food featuring fresh ingredients and masterful preparation by the Uptown culinary team. Our waiter Marty was very good. The food was delicious. I had chicken piccata, mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had the jagersnitzel, broccoli and mashed potatoes. Atmosphere and food were delicious. Will definitely return.

The food here is VERY good. A lot of thought goes into the menu. We try to come here at least once every three months and always get whatever the special is.

The Uptown is elevating the experience. A lovely card for our friend celebrating his birthday waited for us on the table. the bread is absolutely delicious – a new recipe. They called mashed potatoes, potato purée, which is kind of offputting. I have to say the mashed potatoes were delicious. I had an old favorite, chicken piccata. It was delicious.
