   Excellent service - we went at lunchtime, and it was moderately busy but waitress very friendly and gave us plenty of time - did not feel rushed. The food was great, we made some modifications, and they all came out as requested. The little seating area in te front was very nice and comfy. Only wish they had more parking. I would definitely go back!

   Our server, Jeanette, greated us warmly and was very helpful., adding to our experience. All the food was well prepared and presented. I had the salmon and my husband had swordfish; both delicious. We had apple crisp for dessert, and were delighted to find it was made with green apples—so good! One thing that particularly impressed me was the balance of protein, vegetables and carbs in the serving. Often restaurants serve an overwhelming amount of carbohydrates, which are left on the plate, but Union Straw is mindful, and serves perfect portions. We did have a bit of difficulty finding the entrance, which is not on Mechanic St., but the next street over, but having found it, it will become a favorite place.

   The crab Rangoon flatbread was amazing! The goat cheese appetizer was good but not worth the price for the portion given.

   Several items were unavailable and not disclosed by our server until placing our order. Only one vegetable was offered. Disappointed that we could not have what we wanted. Server was not knowledgeable about the menu. Service was slow. It took over 10 minutes to receive our cocktails. Overall, a very disappointing experience. Really unfortunate when we went there for a special occasion.

    It is expensive and super loud, one could not hear ones own thoughts. We are not going back because of the noise level.
