    Since we’d had such a positive experience with dinner at Union Straw, we were delighted to find they serve Sunday brunch. We had Breakfast Cordon Bleu and Chicken & Waffles, both of which were very good, and the ham was exceptionally succulent. The home fries—often lackadaisical at restaurants—were even a bit special. Nicely diced and seasoned. Our server, Jeanette, was outstanding and made sure we were well taken care of. Even though the room was full, she took time to make sure we had everything we wanted, and never felt rushed.

    Hands down some of the best tasting food I have had in this area. Still thinking about the crab Rangoon flatbread. Cannot wait to come back!

    Excellent service - we went at lunchtime, and it was moderately busy but waitress very friendly and gave us plenty of time - did not feel rushed. The food was great, we made some modifications, and they all came out as requested. The little seating area in te front was very nice and comfy. Only wish they had more parking. I would definitely go back!

    Our server, Jeanette, greated us warmly and was very helpful., adding to our experience. All the food was well prepared and presented. I had the salmon and my husband had swordfish; both delicious. We had apple crisp for dessert, and were delighted to find it was made with green apples—so good! One thing that particularly impressed me was the balance of protein, vegetables and carbs in the serving. Often restaurants serve an overwhelming amount of carbohydrates, which are left on the plate, but Union Straw is mindful, and serves perfect portions. We did have a bit of difficulty finding the entrance, which is not on Mechanic St., but the next street over, but having found it, it will become a favorite place.
