   The steaks were not cooked to our 'medium' desire. They came out really rare so we took them home and microwaved them to the 'medium' we prefer. The 'extras' such as mashed potatoes were small in proportion. If you are going to pay that much for a couple of fork-full, ... The bread they brought out was very hard ... through and through. Couldn't eat it. Okay place but not worth the money.

   We try to get to Twin Owls whenever we are in Estes Park. The food is always good and wait staff is very friendly.

   My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Twin Owls Steakhouse! Every employee we encountered was gracious and accommodating, and our server was superior! For such a large room you might think it could be a little cold and uninviting, but just the opposite was true… The exposed beams and beautiful lighting made for such a comfortable ambience... We enjoyed filet mignon and prime rib, both cooked perfectly! We had a delightful conversation with the owner at our table, discussing the beautiful venue and the attached bed-and-breakfast. We will definitely visit again the next time we're in Estes Park!

   Steak was great! Old fashioned was sub par for the price range for sure. Desert was very good, standard but really good- chocolate cake and carrot cake. Ambiance was nice, with live classical style guitar- well done James! Staff were polite and welcoming.

   Beautiful setting and great service. Two of our meals were excellent, the prime rib wasn't very good this time. We won't be ordering it again. Luckily, there are lots of other delicious options on the menu.

   I expected much more from this high-end steakhouse, especially given the premium pricing. For starters, I was disappointed to find that the side portions were very small considering the cost. The mashed potatoes, priced at around $6-8, arrived in a portion size more akin to an ice cream scoop, which felt stingy for the price. Our experience with the service was also below expectations. Our server was inattentive; we repeatedly had to ask for water refills, and she left empty wine bottles and dishes on the table without clearing them. For a large party of eight, the service felt far from attentive, yet we were required to leave a 20% gratuity. Given the lack of care in service, this automatic charge felt unwarranted. Overall, for a restaurant with a reputation for high standards, this visit was underwhelming, especially for what we paid.

    Good, but not great, which is disappointing when you are paying for great. And most of it was, but the steak dinner is the coup de grace of the meal… and when you do not get what you ordered, well that is a bad miss at what should be a no mistakes restaurant. Extra disappointment that this was a 60th birthday you had to leave with a little bit less than what you looked forward to.
