I went with my friend and we had afternoon tea. Obviously the tea was amazing. The service was perfect (which I was quite worried about after seeing other reviews ). The staff could not be more helpful and polite. The setting is beautiful and great location. Afternoon tea was okay, not the best I've had but quite nice. macaroons were really nice.

Great setting in Leicester Square, a very nicely decorated room with tables well separated and spacious. Fantastic tea menu and some very well made accompaniments such as croque monsieur, afternoon tea, scone etc. They can get very busy and you may need to be a little patient but it’s worth it.

Beautiful place if you want to fall in love with the tea culture the people there specially Errady Khadijja made us realice how beautiful is cup of tea and the importance of the quality you have at the store. Thanks a lot also the the people in the Tea Salon their attentions were incredibly nice.

Disappointed. The tea cafe is nicely set in the heart of Leicester Square, great location, nice big room with lovely decor but shame about the food and service. 3 of us ordered 2 of the London tea set, £28.50@ which include:- 4 finger sandwiches , 2 scones & 5 patisseries, and one ordered just simply tea with 2 scones. Finger sandwiches were just passed standard, scones were a little chewy not flaky nor light. Our order included 6 scones and we were only given one set of butter and jam ?! Can't be bothered to ask for more as waiters weren't the friendliest people on earth. From the moment order was taken til the end when table was cleared, they had plain face throughout, I observed their behaviour at other tables and they had no facial expression neither let alone a smile, so at least it wasn't just towards us, but what's wrong with them !!!! On the other hand the waitress who we asked the direction to the washroom was friendly and helpful , smile on her face. The small fruit tarts, macaroon and all the rest of the patisseries were average. The only good thing of the whole afternoon was the tea, we had Assam, Singapore and Tiger Hill, all very nice with great aroma of their own. But you only get half filled of the giant tea pot, with no refill, the pot of tea they provided definitely NOT enough for you to last all the food included in the set. Unless you wanna order another half filled pot of tea !!! I will have no doubt to buy their tea from the shop on the ground floor but never again eating at the cafe.

I love their scones and tea so much. The table where I sat is absolutely beautiful with a wall of flower painting!

There are too few service staff, the speed of serving food is very slow, they are not familiar with the contents of dishes, and the overall cost performance is too low

The teas were excellent. Had the English tea service and would recommend maybe just the scones. The sandwiches were passable but the curried chicken recipe needs a rework. It seemed like there was only one pot of tea for the service which was not much. The location, ambiance and service was very good and for that reason and the decent tea, recommend the place.

The tea room is beautiful and when we visited was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon and they told us the tea room was fully booked but the checked on Opentable and found us a spot. The tea selection is immense and some good cakes too. I want to go back to try the high tea.

Poor service, extremely slow — from being seated to taking our order to serving the food. Very inflexible with dietary requests. And not child friendly. The scones were very light and fluffy but the bread on the tea sandwiches was very cold and heavy.
