    Perfect carvery as usual. Table hadn’t been cleaned and far too hot in there. After saying that we will certainly go back as that isn’t the norm.

    We found this pub by chance just before lockdown in 2020 and had amazing food and a very warm welcome by the landlady who brought a huge bowl of meat from the carvery for our then young Boxer dog. We were staying in the area again this weekend so decided to revisit to see if things were still as good. We were welcomed by 2 dog beds for our now 2 boxer dogs, the carvery was just as delicious and great value and staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would throughly recommend and will definitely return when we are in the area again.

    Food was great and the service couldn’t be faulted. Would of liked more options in the kids menu for coeliac, ended up paying for an adult steak meal

    We were a party of 9 and we all had lovely meals.. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious.

    We visited here whilst on holiday with our 2 children. We all had carveries. It was very nice and a good selection of meats and vegetables. Friendly staff. Will return if in the area again

    Excellent. Just very busy, which didn't affect the service or ambience. Just felt a bit squashed, but that was simply because it was so very busy at that particular time. Once it became quieter, it was great.

    Only reason for not all 5 stars is because we booked the restaurant when given choice of bar or restaurant but when we arrived we were put in the bar and when we said we had booked restaurant we were told if restaurant is fully booked the booking is made for the bar, surely when restaurant is full the option of restaurant should not be there. The bar was full of dogs and that might not suit a lot of people.

    We took our son to here because we have had lovely carvery s here each time. As always the selection was so much to choose from which is great. Our daughter whose 20 said she wishes you did parsnips too, hubby only got carrots as he dosent like the other veg, maybe peas could be a choice..? The meat was gorgeous as always except the beef was quite dry so hubby didn't eat his. We all noticed the swede had a strong flavour of pepper compared to our other visits, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. We will be back again. Thankyou.

    The pub was warm and welcoming with tasteful Halloween decorations. Great food and value for money would definitely recommend and go again
