Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual. Always scratch-made, always responsibly-soured, and always Southern.

This place was pretty good. I have to say that I have been here before, and I remember it being better. To start, we had reservations for a party of 9. When we got there, they had to scramble to get a table together, and it just felt like the people who worked there were annoyed that we came in. Then the food was pretty good. The chicken was awesome, but everything else was just fine. Then when we asked for a dessert menu the waiter told us the kitchen was closed. Now, I actually can get that, because it was around closing time, but in the overall experience it just felt like another way to get us out of the restaurant. And yes, we were a larger party, but we didn’t make any special orders, we sent nothing back, and we weren’t loud or rude. I probably will pick another place next time.

Great food. Slow service. Enough staff, so some other problem.

Had great expectations, but it didn’t live up to the hype. Party of 3 adults and 2 kids. Reservation was for 1 pm. Waited 40 minutes for food to come out, and the dishes came out in three different turns, multiple minutes apart. Shrimp and grits came out cold. The rosemary and garlic potatoes looked like someone’s cat had trampled them. The macaroni and cheese tasted really strange. The “sweet tea” was hated by the kids as it was almost completely unsweetened. We added honey to make it sweet tea. The banana crème brûlée waffles were delicious. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
