An absolutely beautiful restaurant with a great bar area, lounge singer, and good service. The food? Eh! My Branzino had more bones in it than I’ve ever had in a piece of fish. Made it hard to enjoy. My friend’s steak was overdone, but she was too hungry and humble to send it back. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was very loud. Would I go back. The jury is still out.

My friends and I were excited to celebrate a birthday at Truluck’s. The drinks were amazing once we received them, appetizers were delicious, and our main dishes did not disappoint. However, what did disappoint was the service. Although our waitress was nice, the staff was very inattentive. There was a large party seated in front of our booth. 1 of 5 staff members rotated in tending to the needs of that party every 2 minutes while we had to wait very long periods of time for someone to come over to take our order. My friend ordered a drink at 5:42 which she didn’t receive until 6:20 and that was after the waitress had to be reminded. Overall, the food was as expected, wonderful. But, I was disappointed in the lack of attentiveness for our table. Once the large party left, the service improved, however, the damage was done.

Overall a great dinner. My only complaint would be the service. Our waitress consistently interrupted important business discussions. Additionally, although I ordered the broiled salmon (she specifically asked me if I wanted the sauce when I ordered), she entered the tuna entre and that was what was served. I elected to eat the tuna rather than wait for the salmon. The food was fabulous, but again, the service was poor.

This place never misses. From the greeting at the front desk to the staff that takes you back to the table to the waitress to the finally prepared meal everything is excellent always.

Once again Truluck’s proved to be the #1 restaurant in Chicagoland. Everything was top notch as always. Our server, Andrew, is the best! You need to ask for him. The GM, Blake, will make you feel like you’re the only one in the restaurant. The Truluck’s dining experience is like no other.

Our server Francine was excellent. She was friendly, informative, and attentive. The lighted menus are genius. All of us enjoyed our meals immensely. Favorites were the calamari appetizer, lamb chop entree, and carrot cake dessert. I’m looking forward to dining there again in the near future. Maybe experience their filet mignon flight or indulge in the tomahawk paired with a wonderful wine from their extensive list.
