   I had an early reservation at 4:30pm to try the Tru 92 menu for a party of three. I arrived about 25 minutes early and went into the restaurant. The hostess was rather rude and told me I had to wait outside because they were not open yet. Why was the door unlocked? Her attitude was just rude. I asked her if she knew of a place nearby she suggested I go and she just looked stupified. I left and went to a charming place across the street. If I was not meeting people at Truluck's later, I would not have even come back. Otherwise once my full party arrived, everything was fine and service and food was good. I spent $350 for 3 people. Having a less than cordial hostess is not ok.

   first let me say I almost never post a review - good or bad. Facts: I booked a table for 2 for my 50th birthday. The restaurant called back and said entire place is booked by corporation Friday the 13th. I said that's fine, what's available - they said a table for 2 on Dec 12 is NO problem + YES we will have a BOOTH on the SECOND FLOOR. I said "great - thank you - it's my 50th birthday and I want to have a special but quiet dinner". I Booked on phone + open table with instructions. Last night the hostess sat us in a booth next to kitchen entrance on 1st fl. I questioned why 2nd fl wasn't available. She said it's for a private party and there's nothing that can done. Fine. The manager came over & said he'd "address it" but actually never did anything. Said he wanted to ensure we came back but only gave a biz card then left. (huh?) Waiter was a OK but distant yet efficient... they forgot a glass of wine and removed it from bill. My iced scotch was watered down and warm, no offer of additional ice. The Waiter Was easily annoyed when we asked for a table wipe at end of dinner. And he still left the dirty napkin and food on table. We cleaned it ourselves. The food (calamari) was cold. The 5 oz lobster was 2-3 bites. Kitchen traffic running past the booth all night was insane. Super loud environment (despite me being hearing impaired.) None of the staff seemed to speak English (expediters or support staff - which is fine but they could not understand us when we asked for a new knife or napkin, for example). We thought the manager would return to provide some explanation why my 2nd fl reservation was confirmed but then I was stuck in a booth next to the kitchen. Never happened. We wanted desert but honestly wanted to leave. They lit some ice cream on fire like I was a 12 yr old at Chuck E Cheese. Gee thx. Hopped in our ride disappointed and sorta confused. So $450 including $100 tip for a party of 2 on my 50th B day? Nope. Very underwhelming
