We absolutely love this restaurant. We went with our neighbors at 5pm. The place was backed so a little on the noisy side but quiets down later in the evening, The food is consistently fresh and innovative. They have daily specials and I had one of my favorites braciole. My husband had the veal francaise which i one of his favorites. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant and we have been going pretty much at least once a month for 8 years. We have done the brunch and holiday meals and have never been disappointed. I only gave the service 3 stars but let me tell you typically it is 5 stars. We had a new waitress who was friendly and attentive. She needs to polish a few of her skills, we had to ask for spaghetti spoons and a steak knife. Typically the most seasoned wait staff anticipates all these needs. I am sure she will improve the with a little more experience. Bottom line this is definitely one of the best Italian in RI.

Our 1st visit here, but not the last. What a hidden gem. Our server, Francesca, was wonderful and appropriately attentive. She was able to detail all of the specials right from the tip of her tongue. The portions were good and the food was delicious. We will be back!

This restaurant is about 5 minutes from our home and it’s only the second time we’ve eaten here! The ambiance is outstanding. A beautifully appointed restaurant with exposed beams and warm wood paneling, Trattoria Romano is a perfect location for a special occasion or just a cozy intimate dinner! We split the caprese appetizer which featured a tasty balsamic glaze and very sweet onions. I had the trio lamb chop special (succulent!) and my husband had the baked gnocchi (so rich!). We had no room for dessert, so we can’t speak to those items ! Michael was our excellent waiter. Very enjoyable evening!
