Food is barely worth, definitely overpriced, they changed menu a few days ago -we were told- reduced the offer significantly and yet they didn’t have some of the food on the list! We waited 45 minutes to be served a fruit salad which turned out to be the remnant of a few melon cubes and grapes, hardly a fruit salad. They should have spared us the time and disappointment and disclose they didn’t have that either. Service was overall embarrassingly slow. We attended for the kids club which was just a room at the back near the toilets where young children could do so arts and craft supervised. There was no actual entertainment nor games for older children (just playing cards). We are definitely not returning.

The worst experience we’ve ever had. Firstly as me and my family were the first to TOZI we had asked the waitress to explain us about the prices on menu, as it was showing two different prices and he couldn’t explain us properly he told us it was a typing error and to order the expensive price listed one, secondly after we have been waited for two hours we were only been served starter, unfortunately we had to pay for that and we were left without eating. Overall we were not happy at all with their customer service.

Really disappointing meal - for all sorts of reasons. Booked to come here after ice skating Saturday evening (5pm) - 3 adults, 3 kids - as aware that restaurants round the Power Station get very busy. Booked for 5pm. After order taken waiter told us he was sorry for the delay but the chefs were on a break so not ready to start cooking yet. Chef came back at 5.25pm to start cooking - why take a booking for that time if no staff to cook??!! Subsequently starters didn't arrive til about 25 mins after that - kids were starving by then. Ordered 2 meals from the kids menu. The starter (garlic bread), which they forgot to bring and had to rush out at the last minute - was not what I'd expect to serve a child - 2 massive slabs of toasted focaccia. Kids pizzas the same size as adult pizzas - value for money there of course - but seemed a bit odd. Pizzas were average at best. Really doughy and not even hot (as if they'd just come out the oven) when they got to the table. Didn't feel at all that the meal was worth what we paid for it. The only good thing about our visit was the lovely waiter who was really apologetic about how long everything took. All in all, I would not recommend - so many options in the area - this place wasn't worth the time or money.

Party of 6. Food came out individually. By the time we had finish my brother’s pizza arrived. He was eating when we were paying the bill. Ridiculous!! All restaurants bring everyone’s food together. Why can’t Tozi?!

Table not ready for our booked time. maitre’d didn’t ask the previous occupants to move (who had over stayed their time) or find anywhere for us to sit in meantime while waited. Seemed to only realise it was an issue when we turned up rather than organising something knowing our booking was coming in. Standing around waiting then when finally sat (2 families with kids) told there were no more kids menus and had to join WiFi and look it up on phone. All in all made us feel very unwelcome no table or menus - then tried to order a few items that were unavailable as well (on menu but only told not available when ordered). Frustrating experience and not one will be repeating

Sadly not the best experience for my 50th birthday celebration. The staff were nice, slightly disorganised at the start, but made an effort for everything we asked (phone charging, rearranging our table). The place lacked atmosphere as it is set in a shopping mall so on a Friday early evening there a mix of tourists, casual diners and people dressed up for a night out. I asked the staff to play some music because the place seemed 'dead' at 7pm on a Friday night. Our chosen rose brut wine was unavailable so we went for the standard prosecco at £40 per bottle. It wasn't chilled properly so they had to replace it. Our waiter brought bottled water instead of tap water without asking. We ordered from the 'chicchetti' menu, the food was average and totally overpriced. Don't order the octopus salad, it's like little pieces of rubber! Focaccia bread (£5.00 for 4 cubes) wasn't fresh but lightly toasted. Best thing we had were smoky green olives and peppery olive oil. Zucchini fries were decent but the first portion was way smaller than the second one (?). Calamari were OK but very stingy portion size and the 'large' aubergine parmigiana was tiny for £18.50! I wish this was a different review because I really wanted it to be good, it looks lovely in the photos so a bigger disappointment when you arrive. Just another glass fronted restaurant/bar attached to a hotel and called the GRAND CAFE leads you to expect more. Lastly, I thought we were going to have the option of an afternoon tea menu but it turns out you can only get this on weekends (Sat & Sun) if you order in advance. This is slightly confusing on the Open Table booking site. They also cap group bookings up to 6 people which is odd because they just put a few smaller tables together so could have done this for 8 or even 10 people...

The cicchetti at Tozi are highly recommended. The restaurant is very comfortable and service is excellent. We were looked after by Lorraine who did a great job and was very attentive. Would definitely go again.

If you are looking for fine Italian cuisine in Battersea, Tozi Grand Cafe will not disappoint. Excellent meal! Service was great - staff were friendly and welcoming. The three of us shared a starter of aubergine parmigiana. For mains, our daughter enjoyed the chicken breast with gnocchi, while my husband and I shared the lobster linguine. The servings were substantial, but just the right size to leave room for dessert - lemon sorbet and a shared almond frangipane.
