After soaking in the TRB’s Santa Barbara mission architecture, you’ll enter and be greeted by a triple arched Brunswick mahogany bar. Large bowls of colorful citrus for making cocktails sit atop a twenty-foot long bar perfect for grabbing a glass of wine or a bite to eat. As you explore further towards the display kitchen, you enter our lounge, also referred to as the wine library. Knotted wood shelves display our wines, divided up by wine region. Windows surround the North side of the dining room, allowing our guests to gaze out onto the fountain in our courtyard. I describe the décor as thoughtful and collective, creating little vignettes for dining areas. We offer two separate outdoor dining experiences: our courtyard with full service and our front porch great for appetizers, drinks and lounging.

Had Christmas Eve dinner at Tin Roof Bistro. We were seated promptly and food and service were delightful as always except for one thing: My husband ordered the special dessert of Bread Pudding. It really wasn't as described, and looked like we got the last bit of the pan it was baked in. There was almost no moisture - very little custard, no apples or cranberries, just a lot of toasted bread cubes, some burnt. We asked the waiter where was the fruit and rather than bringing us a proper portion from a new pan, he brought a ramekin of cranberries to add to it. Too bad - we saw another table's bread pudding and it looked amazing. If you are running out of a special, best to 86 it rather than try and scrape out one more substandard serving. Is this helpful?

Of all the times we have visited The Tin Roof, this was, by far, the most disappointing. First of all, of all the restaurants we could have chose to celebrate an early Christmas with our long-time friend, we happened to choose The Tin Roof on a day where two out of the three main entrees we ordered we poor to mediocre, at best. My wife ordered the Manhattan Beach Cobb Salad with a side of Broccolini and Chicken and the Dressing seemed to be missing something. We requested a side of Parmesan Cheese and that made the meal passable. But, the biggest disappointment was the Spare Rib Hash--which I order EVERY time we visit. The problem was that there was hardly any meat. When the Manager on duty offered a side of meat, it had none of the seasoning that is part and parcel of what I had become accustomed to. Our Guest is 84 years old, and we were exchanging Christmas gifts and I did not want to upset her, or spoiling the moment, by insisting on a proper remedy. However, when you spend over $170.00 for three meals and an appetizer, perhaps I should have?Is this helpful?
