   I feel the food was overpriced for the amount we got. The food truck wasn’t even there that they said makes all their food so we waited for some time. And yet the food was cold .The drinks were amazing but also overpriced as well.

   Start to finish, it’s an incredible experience. The food and the cocktails are so good as well as the stunning presentation.

   As a party of 12, we celebrated a birthday. It was a surprise for the guest, and the staff was very accommodating and made the evening special. The experience of this tiki bar is unlike any other. If you haven’t been, it is a must.

   Is it like dining inside of the Legends of the Hidden Temple set? Totally. But is the food and drink great? Absolutely. Aesthetically it feels like an unserious tourist trap in a b-list beach town and believe it or not I mean that as a complement. It is kitschy and fun and deeply committed to the theme. The food and beverage, however, is seriously good. We have not had a bad - or even mediocre - bite or sip over the several times we’ve been. It somehow also manages to be pretty fairly priced compared to the rest of the prestige Austin dining scene. We will be back.

   Two of our party arrived directly on time and we were seated by a host with 5 star service we had one person trying to park and that did take 10-15 minutes. By the time our 3rd arrived our service was obviously going to change. We allowed the service to take a serious dive but said we were going to have a good time no matter what. our server and the bartender seemed to have a lot of attitude towards us and we weren’t sure why. We ordered the sos and by the time it arrived at our table the “show” was over, we didn’t understand that at all. Also our server could have explained the drink a little and said we needed to pass the bowl or all stand and drink due to the size and shape of the drink. We figured it out on our own. I’ve dined down in the cave with absolutely 5 star service and nothing but an amazing experience and tonight we were in nest and it was an obvious difference.  This was our second time coming and our first time bringing our best friend he had really been wanting to have the experience. The drinks were absolutely delicious and so were the pork lettuce wraps. In the end we had a good time but because we chose to honestly we almost left when the bar tender and server we obviously teaching us a lesson for having 1 person be 10 min late. Felt like a little kid put in time out.

Other than decor and elevation, your experience should be the same regardless of whether you choose the Nest or Cave when making a reservation.     This is the second time I’ve been to Tiki Tatsuya. This place is so fun, very much like Rainforest Café, but for adults. The vintage tiki drinks were amazing, love how the lights and sound effects change when someone orders a specialty drink. There is so much to look at absolutely love this place! Would recommend if you love tiki bars!
