   Delicious food for all five of us and excellent service in the cosy and beautifully decorated downstairs restaurant. What more could we want? We will most definitely be back.

   Food was good ( don’t eat the napkin hidden under your food !) ambience was good staff were lovely , will definitely go there again

   Such an amazing place - the atmosphere, the food is great but the best thing is the people that work there, so attentive and caring. The best pub in the area.

   Disappointing Sunday lunch . Ordered the roast beef which was very tough and inedible and dinner was not very warm . Mentioned it to the waiter , but did not apologise

We apologise for the tough roast beef and the meal not being sufficiently warm. This does not meet our usual standards, and we’re addressing it with our kitchen team.    Excellent food, service & atmosphere as usual. The game terrine was my favourite today, the burger was also perfect and the sticky toffee pudding divine 😋 Love the 'brewed in Italy' Japanese Asahi 0% beer, perfect for an English pub 😁
