Great experience. The spicy caesar salad was probably the best I’ve had.

Both drinks were not prepared as requested. Food order had mistake, when brought out second time was also wrong. At that point just took it home. Staff was very nice and ambience was nice. Place just reopened under new name and branding. We thought we would give it a try, since we stopped going to the precious place due to the same issues noted above. I hope they course correct as it is a great location and nice ambiance.

Our first experience was mixed. Food: my French dip was very good. A little suspicious because it came out so quickly but it was fresh and delicious. My husband’s short rib was good but a little salty for his taste. Service/Overall experience: Our waiter was friendly when he finally came to the table (it took him a long time to even acknowledge us). What was sus was the hostess lady put us on a 30 min wait list even though, after putting our names on the waitlist, I figured out that I could get a reservation via Opentable in 15 mins and every 15 mins thereafter. There were a lot of open tables and no one else waiting, and when we sat in the bar waiting to be called off the waitlist, I saw multiple tables that had no one sitting at them. Additionally, before telling us that she was putting us on the waitlist, she told us to move aside and checked in with the older w ladies behind us and sat them immediately (I don’t know if they had a reservation or not). Most interestingly, we were only given a table when we went to the hostess stand at the time of our reservation. I don’t know if we will be back. The environment didn’t feel like it wanted to be inclusive, which is disappointing because we live in the area and like to go out to eat frequently.

We went for brunch today and recognize today was only day #4 for the restaurant and the first brunch. Food was edible but not overly special. I had steak and eggs — asked for medium steak but it came well done. Potatoes and eggs were okay. One piece of toast but no jelly or jam. Ordered the Bloody Mary but it was just so-so. The new decor is lovely but the kitchen needs improvement. I’ll try again for the regular menu in a couple of weeks to see if it’s any better.

Wonderful new edition to the Malvern restaurant/dining scene. Restaurant makeover (from old McKenzies’s) is beautiful. Diversity of great food options on the menu and overall food quality is top notch. Service level was was the icing on the cake as everyone was very inviting and attentive. Will be back again, and again and again…..

The new remodel looks great. The service and food were excellent. The Blood Orange Cosmo did NOT disappoint. We ate the Santorini Chopped Club salad with chicken skewer, Shrimp and Scallop Coconut Curry, Truffled Tator Tots, and The Jockey Burger. We were all happy with our food. Our server, Reese, also talked us into having dessert, and were pleasantly surprised with the Bailey's Ice Cream Sundae. What's not to like about ice cream, waffle cone and alcohol mixed together? The bar area had live music (piano and singer) which was contemporary and really good. Overall, it was a wonderful night.

The decor is very nice. It took a bit to get seated and the front desk was definitely stressed;however, our server was great. Beer was excellent. Crab dip appetizer tasty. The sauce on my salmon noodle bowl was much too heavy (1/4 of the sauce would have been plenty)!

What a beautiful restaurant! As regulars at McKenzie Brewhouse, we were sad to see it close, but The Jockey Tavern has truly exceeded our expectations with its stunning renovation. The attention to detail is exceptional—every corner features something thoughtfully designed and visually captivating. The atmosphere effortlessly blends upscale elegance with cozy comfort, creating a warm and inviting vibe that’s refreshingly quiet—an aspect we truly appreciate. The large bar, with its lively yet relaxed ambiance, is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail and the delightful tunes of the piano man before settling into one of the uniquely styled dining rooms, each with its own distinct charm. While there are plenty of waist-friendly options on the menu, we decided to indulge this time. The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the fondue appetizer, a fun and flavorful dish accompanied by fruit, veggies, and chunks of bread. For entrees, the Miso Salmon with Udon noodles was outrageously good, my niece adored her shrimp and scallops in a coconut curry sauce, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his tomahawk pork chop with mashed potatoes and spinach, and my mother was more than satisfied with her generous portion of Chicken Marsala, which came with rice and vegetables—she even took some home. Despite being stuffed, we couldn’t resist sharing a massive sundae featuring a rich flourless chocolate cake. It was the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. My niece loved her Gin Springs specialty cocktail, and I enjoyed a crisp glass of Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc. Special thanks to our server, Sierra, who made the experience even more delightful with her attentive and friendly service. We can’t wait to return—soon!
