   Food was excellent, had food off menu which I thought could have had more choice, only one thing that I liked!! This turned out to be wonderful, lasagne, so nice, I will definitely go again

   Horrid calamari, horrid chicken wings, lovely Brie bites, Cold stuffing on the carvery, chips weren’t great, onion rings very greasy. Long wait for food, not a great meal. The website made it look good, shame it wasn’t.

   The pub was quiet in the eating area so we had our choice of seats. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Overall we had a lovely meal and it was good value.

   Had a table booked for 7pm first time we had been and went for carvery as we are new to the area a young girl pointed to the table where we were sitting there was only 1 other table in area then the young girl came over to bring menu and a drink order not once did she mention that the carvery closed at 7pm it was only when she came back to do food order we wanted the carvery and was then told it closes at 7pm on the door outside it says 8pm this is awful for a Saturday evening i can see why you had no guests in the pub

   Lovely carvery, tasty gravy, veg cooked perfect, great place to go, I have memories of my great grandad going there at night, love the place

   Lovely carvery. Meal was very good like a proper home roast. Lovely cosy quaint pub. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
