The Westwood offers modern British Food in a relaxed informal environment.
Located in the grounds of Beverley’s former grade II listed Georgian courthouse, its modern, comfortable interior complements perfectly the classic features and charm of this historic building, and when the sun is out, there’s no better place for a meal than out on the terrace.
Our aim is this, great food, a warm welcome and great service to match. We also believe in making the most of the seasons so our menu is constantly changing to bring you the best of locally sourced produce.
The Westwood has focused on casual dining and delivered the highest of standards since opening in 2007, making it one of East Yorkshire's finest places to enjoy food!

With the long term vision of a ‘local’ quality restaurant, Matthew, Michele and their team use high quality, locally sourced ingredients to serve up the best the region has to offer in innovative and classical ways.

    We have eaten on several occasions. Spry from the bar and restaurant being cold and my husband’s venison being lukewarm we would recommend.

    This is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The setting was lovely, the staff were attentive, the food was delicious and the cocktails tasted amazing. We are excited to come back again soon.

    This restaurants quality is consistent - but so is the menu slightly disappointingly, the. Deserts have not changed for about a year. Our only other criticism was that there were no vegetables with some of the main courses and then were when we ordered broccoli found was already on some of the dishes so a bit of disappointing to be misled. Obviously with food prices, they have cut the cloth accordingly and just little things like butter with bread are missing now. Having said that the staff are lovely and the food quality excellent it has not put us off going again..

    The food was excellent and the service was good too. The only criticism would be that there wasn’t any air conditioning and it was very warm and stuffy. I would think that if you are a Michelin star restaurant that would be one of the priorities, Regards Philip.

    Excellent dining experience! It was our wedding anniversary and the staff produced a little gift of macaroons for us!
