   Absolutely fabulous Roast, think that it’s the best pub roast we’ve ever had. The beef was delicious and cooked to perfection! We will definitely be back.

   Almost a great pub, it could be very good. Lovely country pub serving decent food. Lovely team giving good service. Didn’t enjoy the too loud dated music, wrong music for the venue. . . The roast potatoes were over cooked and cold, difficult to cut.

   Really lovely food, service was good but completely let down by the atmosphere. The pub was completely empty apart from ourselves (a couple) and a group of people who were very loud and drunk, playing drinking games and swearing very loudly. Not the nicest ambience whilst trying to have a nice meal out together. It’s a shame as I probably wouldn’t go back due to this reason.

   Nice country pub which I have been frequenting on and off for many years. Recently returned after a couple of years and change of ownership and was pleased to find that food still as good and that the interior of the pub was considerably brighter having been refurbished.

    Really good food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the layout of the building means that tables are cramped together and, in some cases, effectively in a corridor from the kitchen. No one's fault - it's the downside of being in an historic and, otherwise atmospheric, building. But it did detract from the experience.
