   We celebrated our 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary and had a lovely Sunday Lunch with our family and friends. The food and service we received was first class. We were upstairs which was the perfect place to be. An additional table was set up for our cakes and presents by the staff. We will definitely be going back again Thanks to the Team there for looking after us so well.

   Absolutely delicious meal - perfectly cooked duck and a wonderful prawn starter. The matcha dessert was also perfection. And all gluten free for a coeliac like me. Friendly, efficient service . I’ll be back!

   I love using The Unthank and will continue to use it. On this occasion (and I’m sorry to write something negative) I didn’t think my fish&chips were good. They were ok. I felt they were overcooked (batter seemed hard like it had bn cooked for a while and same with (far too many) chips. It was all a good temperature. The taste was ok, but it wasn’t as good as I hv had there many times. It was a shame although overall, our table had a great time spending lunch there. The service was good and Summer has come on in leaps&bounds, really happy to see her still being there. Thank you.

   As usual the food and service was excellent at the Unthank . The quality of both on such a busy day was fantastic .

   Great atmosphere. This is a really friendly local pub with excellent food on offer. Staff are all friendly and the place has a great buzz about it.

    Haddock and chips - very good. Cod and sweet potato - very, very small portions of cod, (two servings) both swamped in sweet potato- not impressed. Service was very friendly and efficient - can’t fault it.
