   A very solid 4/5 and nearly a 5/5. The food was good, and it was a nice touch that for our Sunday lunch we could have refills of the vegetables and gravy. It wasn’t that busy, as we were early, and the only downside was having to ask more than once for some things, but overall very good and we would go back again quite happily.

   I have been to the Thatch a few times, it’s consistently good quality food at a good price. The staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s a traditional pub with the nice restaurant separate at the back, which means you can meet at the bar first for a drink before you go in to eat, and again after your meal, your table has a 2 hour 15 minute time slot, however I have never ran over, the turn around is quite good, your food is delivered quickly but I have never felt rushed and that’s been a table for 2, 4 and 9 , I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I will continue to revisit with family and friends

   We enjoyed the whole experience of the meal, it is such a warm and friendly place with so much history and character. The food was amazing, went on Steak night (Thursday) and the choices of different cuts of meat, sauces and sides were great. All four of us enjoyed our meals and had with different combos of sides, starters and main meals which was great. The service was fantastic again and has been on all three occasions we have previously visited. Definitely recommend to anyone.
