   Firstly the staff. Absolutely superb - we were well looked after. Food allergies were taken into account and options were explained for each course.. The food - wow - everything we ate was delicious and elevated. The place itself. Incredibly cozy. Overall, a level of excellence that is synonymous with the Adam Handling name. This lunch was a gift for my in-laws and they absolutely loved it. If you have an opportunity to go, do not miss out.

   First time visit to The Tartan Fox and we loved it. 400-year-old pub so I am told, and you can believe it, full of absolute charm from the minute you walk up to and then through the main entrance - beautiful. Greeting from the staff very friendly, service on point and the food of exceptional quality. We had such a relaxing & enjoyable evening; we will be returning.

   Excellent food and the service was exceptional. It's quite pricey for what is still a pub, but the quality of the meals and produce used was worth the money.

   We had an excellent evening at The Tartan Fox, there was no rush to serve your food it was a relaxing and very pleasant evening. The Beef rib with gherkin gravy is a must, it just melted in your mouth. The cocktails are not to be missed either especially the mint one! All in all a delicious experience.

   Great venue and ambience, friendly staff. wonderful menu but when plates arrived we all commented on the unnecessarily small portions of the side dishes ( especially the mash potato) and a couple of the main dishes. And our mains were categorised as 'larger dishes' on the menu! We looked enviously when the next table had normal sized portions of fish and chips! We recommend asking ahead for the description of the desired dishes and portion size so you can at least manage your expectations! The trifle dessert was lovely, date pudding a bit dry.

   Outstanding as always. The service is incredible you are made to feel very special. The staff are so knowledgable about every aspect of the menu and the drinks list and are very good at recommending pairings. We love it here and are lucky enough to live close by. Thanks again for a wonderful meal. The hash browns with truffle cream and caviar are to die for x

    Excellent food, which is the main point of a restaurant. Service was slow at times because they also had a large party but this did not detract from the experience. I was cold but I am nearly 80, so it may be me rather than the heating.
