The Simpson complements Brooklyn’s new restaurant age from Williamsburg to Prospect Park, by offering a seafood friendly Caribbean/Soul Food cuisine and an inspired Classic Cocktail menu infused with the nuances and flavors of the Afro Diaspora’s spice market. The Simpson will embody the soulful vibes and beats of the borough, while capturing the exuberance of the New Brooklyn Renaissance through Art, Music, Mixology and Cuisine. The service will be reminiscent of wherever you call home, as Chef’s “Cooking with Love” menu will be completed with with an array of delectable pastries and desserts, yummy mock tails for the non-drinker, and creative elixirs for the adventurous. Menu highlights include Hennessy Fried Shrimp, Bourbon Bbq, 5 Cheese Macaroni Pie, and Wings.

    Nice place for a quick dinner. Had the jerk chicken could’ve been cooked longer, but the rice and beans and sweet plantains were the best.

    Everything was going well, we came late and they still accommodated my party of 12. The food was tasty, not too spicy not too salty. Until, it was time to pay the bill, the server Jamal added an extra entree to our bill that was never order by my party, he refused to take it off the tab and did not want to admit his mistake. Our server and the manager continue to go back and forth with us for about 15 mins, until the supervisor ended up taking the extra meal off the tab. They were not too nice about the situation and didn't seem to want to try to get to the bottom of it, they only wanted us to believe that the extra meal was ours and we should pay for it.

    We had oxtails with seasonal vegetables and rice and peas and breadfruit. It was delicious and I’ll drink was rum punch.

    Everything was good except I had a 8pm reservation and had to wait a whole hour to be seated to eat which I don’t understand. Food is great but the wait sucks!!!!
