   Poor service, we waited an hour to get a glass of water. No explanation about the service. We booked for 7:30pm. The first snakes arrived at 9pm. I don't recommend the place.

   Brilliant food and live music. Service let it down. Incredibly slow. We had to prompt them to fetch our wine after 30 mins of seeing it sit on the size. Also wrong size of wine was given. We left before dessert.

   I can honestly say the level of service was probably the worst I have ever experienced in any hotel or restaurant in my life , to the point that almost all the couples sitting in our vicinity started making jokes about it We waited until 8:15 (1 hr. and 15min after we sat down )before we got even the bread it took almost 25mins to get a drinks order and that was after asking your staff on more than 4 occasions This led to a number of arguments between myself and my partner and almost ruined what should have been a wonderful night for us I could understand it if the place was busy or you were short staffed, but neither was the case Both ourselves and the couple next to us eventually left before dessert as it was almost 10pm and enough was enough I had previously recommended the hotel to clients and had bought vouchers at Xmas and while I can't fault your observatory bar or the spectacular views ,the restaurant was to buy it mildly ,embarrassing. £170 for the meal and another £48 for drinks and 3 hours of my life i wont get back

   The food was lovely, when it arrived, but unfortunately the service was rather poor. It was a couple of weeks before Christmas, so as expected the hotel was rather busy. However the restaurant itself was not particularly busy, even so the waiting staff seemed overwhelmed and not able to cope with any requests we had (we also noticed other residents who arrived just before us were turned away, even though there were empty tables). We had to repeatedly ask for our drinks and it took 2 hours for our main courses to arrive (we had the set meal). A slight delay of food is understandable at this time of year, however good friendly service and communication from the staff in general was severely lacking.

   We waited at the entrance for 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us after we arrived. We were shown to our table and waited 25 minutes for our drinks order to be taken. The first course of the tasting menu came out after 35 minutes. I was not asked if I wanted another drink the entire duration of my stay. My husband had the wine pairing and didn’t receive all of the pairings. The descriptions of the wines were rubbish “2018 from Oregon” - nothing about the wine or why it complimented the food. After 3 hours we still hadn’t received our final course and decided to leave. When we went to pay the manager and wait staff were sitting on the floor behind the bar. Truly awful service. The staff were polite but it was very apparent the restaurant was understaffed and it ruined our experience. The food itself was just okay. Not comparable to Ox or Muddlers Club (even though it’s priced the same). We won’t be back.

   I am unable to comment on the experience because the booking was not upheld - on arrival was informed the seahorse can only be booked for hotel residents and therefore we couldn't use it.

   The 8 course taster menu was amazing. Every course was excellent 👍. Service first class - really enjoyed the whole experience.

    We had the tasting menu on a work night out. There were 10 of us. The local food was fantastic and sadly let down by the very slow service. I think the restaurant was very understaffed ? Illness. The staff that were there did their best but service, particularly of drinks was very, very slow. The 7 courses took around 3.5 hours.
