   Cora was perfectly attentive. I especially value when servers don’t just bust in while we are talking but also walk by and can tune into what we need, when we need it. Teresa the bartender was engaging, offered a creative twist on our beverage we didn’t end up preferring, and she handled it perfectly. The food was exceptional. Love the new menu. The food was not only DELICIOUS, it was also presented beautifully which also added an extra touch of class. Love the Sawyer and will keep coming back.

   The food and atmosphere is very good. We have dined here many times. Last Sunday evening we had a young waitress who grew up in Truckee. She gave wonderful service and was an absolute delight to talk with. This is a great restaurant!

   Most everything was great on this visit except that the food quality was super disappointing!! Not up to standard we have known and loved. Service was exceptional. Cozy atmosphere for a cool fall night. We will try again in the hope that this was an anomaly.

   We went for an early dinner (5pm) and had a nice half-full restaurant. Service (Cora!) was spectacular. She was friendly, personable and attentive. Food was out of the park! Yum! We are in town for 6 days and this may need to be a two-fer. We three shared the special, pumpkin ravioli topped with braised short rib and seasonal veg, two salads (Caesar - which was meh, and wedge, which was better), and also shared the crispy bird (omg... sooooo good!). We topped the whole thing off with the most incredible butter cake ala mode. Yum. A great meal all the way around.

   Consistently the best quality food (and value) in Truckee! Service is always top notch. Their famous butter cake is the best dessert I’ve ever had! Thank you, Sawyer. You are my family’s go to for an excellent meal. And did I mention the view?

   We were able to sit on the patio, and what a lovely evening for our table of four. Our waitress Carley was attentive, prompt and fun and added to our overall night. 2 of us went with the special, which was a smoked tri-tip and was delicious and I had a wonderful old-fashioned style cocktail. It was just a wonderful evening.
