The Hotel bar / restaurant was clean and looked good. The staff very friendly. The service was very slow there was only several people in the restaurant. I had to go looking for staff on two occasions to get the next course. The food was only of bar quality not restaurant? To be fair the amount of food for each course was good. I would book the hotel again The Samual and the Breakfast was great. But I would not book the restaurant we will eat somewhere else.

The food was very good and arrived quickly. However the staff were very disorganised and seemed stressed out having to deal with the amount of people in the restaurant. We were seated and then left waiting 35 minutes before anyone took our order, I had to get up from the table to try and get a staff members attention. It felt like we were forgotten about. We were due to go to an event in the 3arena that evening and having to wait so long unfortunately made us late for the beginning.

Very disappointing experience here. We arrived at 5:30 and the staff seemed lovely on arrival and when we ordered. The starters arrived as we were surprised that there were only 3 potato skins for the cost. The Spicy chicken wings were lovely so it was a mixed experience on the food. The starters were collected at 6:15 and I enquired with a waiter at 6:45 as to how much longer our main courses would be and he just shrugged. We waited 10 minutes and enquired with the on-duty manager who said he would check but didn't go near the kitchen and never returned to us. At 7pm enquired again and were brushed off with no explanation or apology for the wait and we left at 7:05 having had no main course and still no explanation as to what took so long. The restaurant was not full at this time.

It was very hard to find and we went through all elevator levels on arrival. First arrived they didn’t have our reservation even though I had the email. They then sat 3 of us at a huge round table where it was hard to have decent conversation due to the lack of background noise or ambience. We had to wave down staff 3 times before we took an order - roughly 15-20 mins after sitting and not even a drinks order taken. We all ordered burgers and they were out in less than 10 minutes - not sure if that was worrying or impressive. One of the diners finished their meal before their drink even came down, us other two were slowly trying to eat but I had to call 2 more staff to remind them of our drinks. Finally got them and the cocktail was just ok. The staff then were visibly disagreeing over tables and there was a large queue forming at the door. People ended up leaving their dining tables to place orders at the bar. €95 for 3 burgers and 3 drinks. The waitress did apologise but it wasn’t her fault, she was the only one who attended to us out of the 4 separate staff members I interacted with to remind of attention for food and drinks. Severely understaffed, sub par food and I wouldn’t recommend the cocktails. Overall; avoid overpriced restaurant there are far nicer places in Dublin to dine. We went here for proximity to a concert but I’d rather walk 20 mins for a better experience, food, drinks and service.
