   High end gastro dining with excellent choice of menus. Beautiful property and decor with a very warm welcome and service from all staff. Food is outstanding and presented and seasoned to perfection. The drinks, wine menus are varied in choice and price. We have been twice and had the 3 course set lunch menu (3 choices per course) £34 which is amazing price for the quality and presentation, the drinks, particularly wine are probably more expensive than some places but make it affordable for many with the food price on this particular menu. Coffee and tea choice was also great and arrived very hot with a nice touch of flapjack. Whether it’s a fine dining taster menu and wine flight or drink/lunch in the bar area you will be made to feel very welcome. A real gem in the competitive RIbble Valley. Can’t wait to return, especially when the sun is out to enjoy the garden restaurant with retractable roof. Well done Team Rum Fox 🦊

   High quality lunch for a very reasonable cost. My seafood gratin starter was superb. The venison pie, had an excellent crust and was full of unctuous meat. It was accompanied by a very tasty peppered sauce, root vegetables, and the biggest crispy chips ever encountered. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her cheese soufflé and cod encrusted with chorizo main. We both had a very refreshing panna cotta desert , with blood orange granita, and an orange syrup. We will return.

   Had a lovely evening. The staff were welcoming on arrival. The food throughout was excellent, the wine waiter was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Top marks

   Phenomenal experience from start to finish. Service was welcoming & warm. Professional & friendly. Food was incredible. Best roast outside my house I’ve ever had. Kids loved their meals which always helps. Really helpful staff who genuinely seemed to enjoy their job which showed. Made my dad’s birthday extra special. We’ll be back. Thank you.x

   My husband and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch. The service very was good and very efficient, the menu choice was very good so much so it very difficult to choose. Perfect.
