Solanche, Richard and the rest of The Royal Oak team are extremely proud to offer Michelin starred dining in rural Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds, since 2019.

We proudly offer a bar with pool table and darts, alongside our Michelin-starred dining room. We celebrate terroir-driven, ‘proper country food’, focusing on wild, seasonal ingredients, our aim is simple: We want to tell the story of our community, the producers themselves and how we’ve utilised their ingredients.

Our menu shifts with the seasons, with some dishes lasting six weeks to showcase the peak of their season, while others may be available for just a week or a single service—a fleeting, micro-seasonal snapshot. This approach honours the balance of our natural surroundings, supports local producers who practice sustainable land and woodland management, and tells the story of our community's commitment to preserving the land for future generations.

A wonderful country find in a tiny village. The restaurant is definitely one to savour local farm to table, foraging and local game delicacies and each course was delicious. Staff are friendly, informative and welcoming and on a cold snowy night provided hot water bottles for each table to ensure we were sufficiently warm.

Lovely friendly environment. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Food was outstanding. Drinks I feel are a little high priced but tends to be the way now with top restaurants. Will definitely book again

Outstanding, simply outstanding. You think you have grasped the concept of ‘depth of flavour’ and then you get to sample their roe buck consommé and it opens up a new world of taste experience. The monkfish could not have been more perfectly cooked. All of the staff were knowledgable, passionate and friendly whilst also being efficient and skilled….. quite a feat to pull off successfully. The wine pairing is most definitely worth a punt, if you are lucky enough to have a designated driver….traditional but with a few curve balls thrown in.
