The Red Lion Inn is a quintessential New England inn that is a nostalgic must-see in the Berkshires. We ate in the tavern, which is quaint and filled with items from bygone eras. The food was quite good, the service was excellent and we really enjoyed our experience!

The Red Lion never disappoints! Great ambience and a great place to celebrate special occiaons. My only complaint was that what used to be a complimentary bread basket is now $8.00 for 4 very small rolls. Thankfully our waitress alerted us that there would be a fee.

The tavern was very eclectic with an authenticity to an Old New England Tavern. Lunch portions were delicious, moderately priced, entrees were small. Overall it was a very nice eating experience.

I treated my sister to a birthday lunch at the Red Lion Inn and we had a wonderful time. The whole place is like a beautiful museum with antique furniture and works of art, the ambiance was casual yet tasteful with linen table clothes, our Lobster Rolls were superb and the service was excellent. We had a nice, unrushed visit and all were professional and friendly. This has always been a favorite place for a treat occasion! Go and ENJOY! :)

My date and I had the most wonderful dining experience at the Red Lion Inn. The dining room is right out of a story book: classic New England decor! We were given a window seat, overlooking an open porch on a beautiful early-Spring evening. We received a warm welcome from the host, as well as from our waitress. While the specials sounded delicious, we went with what were had been craving. I ordered the curried cauliflower steam and my date ordered the chicken pot pie. W also ordered the artisan breads (there was an extra charge, but it was worth it) and a side salad. Everything was prepared perfectly, as it tasted just as great as it looked! The cauliflower steak was incredible, as well as filling, as was the wilted spinach that was under it. I tasted the chicken pot pie and the chicken was so flavorful and tender. But as filling as everything was, we made a point to leave room for dessert. My date and I shared the Inn's classic warm apple pie a la mode! The apples were flavorful and firm. Rather than have an after dinner drink, we went downstairs to the Lion's Den to have a drink and listen to live jazz music. That capped off the evening very nicely. We will absolutely be back soon for a repeat of this wonderful evening. I encourage everyone to visit, whether it is on a date, celebration, family dinner, or even solo. It will make your evening (as well as the rest of your week)!
