The Red Door San Diego is committed to offering our guests sustainable and responsibly sourced farm-to-fork dishes. We proudly serve contemporary Italian and modern European cuisine with the freshest locally grown and handcrafted products available. We also feature delicious and unique ingredients from around the world. Chef/Owner Luciano Cibelli shops daily, personally selecting every item we serve. He bakes fresh breads, rolls, desserts and all of the pasta in house (including a special Gluten Free Bucatini) and he develops his menus in rhythm with the seasonal San Diego harvest.     The customer service was outstanding. The chef came to our table twice to check on the food. Everything was delicious, especially the Mac and cheese appetizer. The vegetables were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is a small neighborhood restaurant that was very comfortable.

    This was our first visit to The Red Door and we’ll definitely go back. Between the owner/chef coming out to greet us to the amazing food, it was an experience to remember and repeat.

    This was one of if not the best meal we have had in San Diego in years! We travel all over the world for business & pleasure, & the meal we had was second to none! The service was magnificent. The entire staff was wonderful. They never left the finning room without taking something (dirty dishes etc) with them, and they were extremely attentive. I don’t remember ever writing a review but this was such a wonderful and surprising experience I had to take the time We live in Cardiff & it was raining, so we almost didn’t go (San Diego wimps:-), but we are so glad we didn’t wimp out. We will definitely be back..often!

    Great dining experience! First time customer and can’t say enough about the place. We were greeted by the owner/chef at the host stand. He walked us to our table and walked us through the menu. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. Chef came back to check on us. Risotto and Burrata were beyond. Live music ambience was perfect

    My husband had free range chicken with rosemary roasted potatoes. Yummy. I enjoyed the perfectly prepared Beef Wellington. Delish! We love how the chef checks in with each guest to ensure their satisfaction and make suggestions.

    Live Jazz was a bonus, the ambiance was amazing and the Chef and owner came out shook hands and introduced himself. Fantastic place.

    Celebrated our anniversary here. Chef made an amazing charcuterie board for us that wasn't on the menu and brought it to our table. Loved that special touch. Beef wellington was amazing too.
